Making Bread with Miss Jenny

Miss Jenny, mother of Wilfred, brought in fluffy bread dough, dried strawberries and raisins, farm fresh egg-wash, and sprinkles on Wednesday and taught us about bread-making. We squished, squeezed, rolled, patted, pounded, punched, stuffed, brushed, and sprinkled our dough into marvelously unique shapes, baked them, and enjoyed the works of our labor. We learned about the ingredients of bread dough, and delighted to learn that yeast “farts” gas that helps the dough rise. Thanks Miss Jenny!
